SOUTH WAIRARAPA ITEMS. _ (Our Travelling Reporter.) Butterfat. The Belvedere Cheese Company yesterday made its final payment to suppliers for last season, bringing the total to 1/5 j-lfiil per pound of butter fat. An advance of 1/- per pound was also made on butterfat supplied during December. Short Sitting. S Mr S. L. P. Free presided over a short sitting of the Magistrate’s Court at Greytown yesterday. W. C. Ball secured judgment against Mrs Bopota Turei for £1 ss. No order was made against Kingi Puiki, from whom £. McAlister sought to recover £6 2s on a judgment summons. Resigned. Messrs A. Matthews and E. Boekett have resigned as members of the South Wairarapa River Board. Presentation. A number of friends of Mr R. B. Hart, of the Bank of New South .Wales, Carterton, who has been transferred to Hawera, met and presented him with a solid leather suit case.
