HUIA ARERATED WATER.
NEW MASTERTON FACTORY. A very fine addition to the factories of Mastertou is that of the Huia Aerated Water Co., which has opened in a fine brick and concrete building in Bannister street, two doors past Ely and Young's. On entering the factory, pne is struck by its cleanliness and airiness. / The new, up-to-date machinery, which is aH electrically driven, occupies comparatively small space, and some of the machines are very ingenious. The carbonator, or sodawater machine, has a capacity of 2000 bottles per day, and there is one that puts the syrup into the bottles, fills them, and puts the crowns, or metal caps, on. Another is the generator, for making the carbonic acid gas, or carbon dioxide. The two tin-lined boilers in. which the syrup is made lire easily kept clean. Only the best, spring water will be used, this being pumped by electricity into two cimCrete tanks, from which it goes to the iiiiel’ines. From the ti:>*., the syrup is boi'-d until the coej.lete cordi'il is bottled no hand touches the mixture, the flavour of which is excellent. . The tmteials are delirend by a mo.or lorry.
