H., Smith stated that in the Kennel Club classes the winning
smooth-coated collie dog was a typical specimen. The only English setter shown was a good one. The winning Pointer wag as good a dog as could be found anywhere in New Zealand. Greyhounds were a strong class in' numbers and quality. Fox Terriers included an imported dog, which will be heard of at bigger shows. Mr Smith was called upon to judge the working dog classes, which were well filled by the best dogs of the district. The championship was awarded to Mr D.
