V.R.C. DERBY ACCEPTORS. A TYE-CORTEEN CHALLENGE. (Received 10.40 p.m.) Melbourne, Oct. 30.—Acceptances for the Victorian Derby are:—Sir Dighlock, Royal Charter, Killocra, Artamus, Miss Disraeli, Valorem, Demade, King Victor, Spearfelt, Wycherley, Soliidify, Brimming, Versine. Christchurch has cabled the V.R.C. that Guircase, Mountain Lion and The Harp were scratched there on August 27 I T. M. Burke has purchased the New Zealander Wassail. It is stated that the connections of the horse Purser have offered to give £3OOO to the hospitals if the Victorian Racing Club will publish the evidence given at the inquiry at which the disqualifications imposed were upheld. The committee declined to depart from the custom of not publishing evidence.—(P.A.)
