A live Father Christmas will distribute Christmas gifts, as was the case last year. Aj? the “Father Christmas Stall” will be devoted to the children, and as the season of the year is that which belongs chiefly to the children, it is intended to make the Christmas packets a speciality, and to give the very best value so that each child may obtain something more than usual in return for the price paid. Last year a large number of valuable packets were received from local residents, one citizen in particular making a handsome donation which enabled the packets to be of exceptional value, and thus gladdened the hearts of the youthful visitors. Packets or donations towards the Father Xmas stall will be gladly received by either Mrs B. Iveson, Essex street (telephone 1152), or Mr T. T. Denbee, Rcnall street (telephone 1611).
