FAT SHEEP SALE.
AT CARTERTON SHOW. There was a large crowd of interested spectators at the sale of fat sheep conducted by the Association, the auctioneer being Mr H. ,F. Wooffindin, of the N.Z. Loan and, Mercantile Agency Co,, Ltd. AU the lots, comprising 240 head, were bought by freezing companies. Prices were well up to expectations, the highest being £3/19 each for three Down cross lambs on account of Mr W. A. lorns (Martinborough). Following were the sales:On. ace. Arch. Clark (F’ston): 3 fat ewes 32/6 and 44/; wethers at 40/, 44/6, 45/, 46/, 42/, 43/, 69/, 65/; lambs 42/, 3 longwool do. 40/, 3 lambs 0/281b 39/. On acc. James Fisher (Clareville): Ewes at 36/, 49/, wethers at 42/6, 51/-, 3 ewes (in wool) 50/, lambs at 49/, 50/, 49/, 45/ and 46/, 3 shorn wethers 33/6. On acc. James McKenzie (Te Whiti): Ewes 37/, 37/6, wethers at 44/, 42/, 42/6. On acc. E. J. Aplin (C’ton): Lambs 46/. On acc. F. Court (Waihakeke): Lambs at 48/, 38/, 41/ and 39/6. On acc. G. Fenwick (F’ston): Lambs at 45/, 52/. On acc. W. A. lorns (Mbo.): 24 lambs at 60/, 49/, 63/, 67/, 79/ (champions), 50/, 45/ and 48/, On acc. C.
