W.F.C.A. SALES. The W.F.C.A. Ltd., report on the undermentioned sales as follows;— Martinborough sale.—A medium entry of both sheep and cattle came forward. Sheep met with a slow sale, but cattle were in better demand. We report: 63 2-th wethers (small) 23/6; 30 fwd. ewes 18/11; 71 empty do 16/; 19 aged do 12/; 4 fwd cows £3 2/; 7 do £2 2/; 2 store do 37/; 6 vealers (good) £2 9/; 5 2-yr Hereford heifers £2 7/; 6 18-mos do 29/; weaners 20/; half draught gelding £23 10/; pony £5; aged gelding £3 10/. Carterton sale.—A small entry of ; sheep and a fair number of cattle were yarded, a ood clearance being effected at late rates as follows: 20 fwd. b.f. lambs 22/6; 112 do 21/8; 68 store ewes 18/9; 15 fat do 22/11; 12 do ■*22/6; 22 2-tooth ewes 22/4; 5 fat bullocks £8 4/; 8 do £7; 1 fat cow (heavy) £7; 3 medium do £5 10/; store cows 25/; 21 weaner heifers (dairy') 28/. Pigs: Slips 9/, 10/, 12/, to 13/. PEILDING SALE. Fcilding, May 9.—At the Feilding sale 4000 sheep and 700 cattle were yarded. Fat lambs brought late rates; fat ewes scarcely reached vendors’ value; store sheep were not up to last week’s prices. Sheep.—Fat lambs, extra prime 30/, others 20/5, 21/, 22/ to 23/6; fat ewes, b.f. 25/9 to 27/9. prime 26/ to 32/6; wethers, 25/6, 29/9, 34/10, 35/2 to 36/1; store sheep, lambs 25/, aged ewes 14/9, cull ewes 13/1, empty ewes 14/6, lines r.w.r. 26/4, forward ewes 17/, better quality to 20/10, wethers (poor) 11/6, others to 17/10, 2-ths 29/2. Dairy eutll•' sold freely at late rates Springing heifers £4 to £7, heifers £5/7/6.
