HITCH IN NEGOTIATIONS,

London, Mar. 22. —A deadlock in the Queensland loan negotiations is threatened as the outcome of financiers requiring an atmosphere of confidence as regards refunding operations. They endeavoured to obtain a statement from the pastoral leaseholders that they were satisfied with the result of the negotiations with Mr Theodore (Premier of Queensland). The leaseholders, however, were adamant, demanding concessions in the Queensland legislation which Mr Theodore is not prepared to give.—(A. and N.Z.)
