WEDDING.
At St. Matthew’s Church yesterday the marriage was celebrated between Myrtle, twin daughter of Mn and Mrs Saker, of Masterton, and Ernest, youngest son of Mr and Mrs W. Williams, of Wellington. The officiating clergyman was the Rev. W. Bullock. The bride, who was given away by her father, looked charming in a gown of brocaded taffeta, with sleeves and panels of radium lace. She also wore the usual veil fastened with a coronet of orange blossoms, and carried a beautiful bouquet, of Christmas lilies. Miss Pat Saker attended her twin sister as bridesmaid, wearing a pretty frock of mole grey knitted silk and hat to match, her bouquet consisting of scarlet carnations. Mr R. E. Smith, of Masterton, carried out the duties of best man. A reception was afterwards held at the residence of the bride’s parents, when numerous toasts wore honoured. Mr and Mrs Williams left later for the south, the bride travelling in a coatfrock of navy blue and hat to tone. She also wore a handsome black marabout, the gift of the bridegroom. To many presents received testified to the popularity of the young couple.
