VISITORS WIN BY 5 TO 1. The exhibition put up by the Wellington .M.C.A. at the Park Oval on Saturday was too clever for the Masterton Y.M.C.A. team and the visitors ran out winners by 5 goals to I, after a bright game. From the outset it was easily seen that the Wellington boys were the better exponents of the game in all departments, and had Masterton on the defensive most of the time. Another game will be played this morning at the Oval between the visi- ; tors and a team picked from local teams. CHINA BEATS AUSTRALIA. BY 3 TO 1. (Received 5.5 p.m.) Sydney, Sept. 23. —Twelve thousand spectators witnessed the China-Austra-lia fourth test, the visitors showing greatly improved form. They kept the Australians on the defensive in the first had which ended China 1, Australia 0. The final score was China 3, Australia I.—(P.A.)WELLINGTON GAMES. Wellington, Sept. 23.—Y.M.C.A. 3, beat Dawbers (Manawtu) 2 for the Challenge Cup contest. In the Victory Cup semi finals Thistle 2, beat Scottish Wanderers 1. South Wellington 4, Institute 3.
