SOLDIERS’ MEMORIAL.

THAT £lOOO INVESTMENT. (To the Editor.) Mr Tennent’s letter in this morning’s “Age” makes refreshing news. This money was collected for a specific purpose and should have been extra carefully guarded and used for that purpose alone. The trustees ami treasurer are morally responsible, to the public for this money. And Mr Tennent, by his action, is “playing the game” in a manner that will be appreciated by all the honest people. It is a great pity there are not a few more Mr Tennents about in this drifting world of ours, as it might help to balance matters more evenly. Anyhow, good luck to Mr Tennent; by your deeds we shall know you.—l am, etc., JUST A CITIZEN.
