HALL AND SUNDAY SCHOOL - TO BE ERECTED. A well-attended meeting of parishioners was held in the common room at St. Matthew’s last night, to consider plans for the new Parish Hall and Sunday School to be erected on the vacant section adjoining the church grounds -in Church street. The Vicar (Bev. W. Bullock) presided. After considerable discussion, it was decided to erect a well-proportioned hall, with a stage built at one end, flanked by dressing rooms. Behind the .stage will be a kitchen and common room. The main hall will be partitioned off for Sunday School classes, the partitions being movable when the hall is required for congregational meetings. It will accommodate from 300 to 400 people. The ground is already the property of the parish, and approximately £lOOO is in hand for the hall. It is hoped that another £lOOO will be raised in a campaign between this and Christmas, :md £l5OO will be borrowed to complete the building. ,
