WEEKLY OUTING The unfavourable weather on Saturday did not effect the interest m the run-off between the teams of Lambess and Spackman, wno tied in the teams’ race a fortnight earlier. The race was Held from the residence of Airs G. Blane, Vivian St, and the trail led from there for about 5{- miles, across to the Solway railway station, back to Waiugawa, through to South road and back to Donald St. Spackman led at the early stages, and the heavy going spread out the field. Keats gradually improved his position and pan home with a little to spare with Stewart, R. Lambess, Carr, A. Lambess. Spackman, Winhall, Holdaway, Hayes and Wallace in that order. The checked result gave Lambess’s team the race with 23 points (against 35 in the original race), while Spackman’ s team were only a point behind with 24 \against 35). Tlie winning team was R. Lambers A. Lambess, W. Winhall, and E. holdaway, who received Miss Truscott’s medals. L. A. Keats won the medal present ecl by Air Lambess, Senr.. for the first man home. A sealed handicap, run in conjunction with the race was won by W. Wiiihall (3 min. 30 sec.) with Stewart (45 sec.) second and Keats (scr.) third. At the conclusion of the race tea was banded round by a party of ladies, who "were thanked by the dub captain for their kindness and interest in the harrier movement. This week’s run will be held at the resilience of Air K. Buick, Alt. Bruce.
