MR HUGH MORRISON.
A VISIT TO BRITAIN. At the meeting of the Wairarapa Executive of the Farmers’ Union yesterday, Mr Hugh Morrison announced that, as he was leaving for a holiday to the Old Country at the end of the year, he would be unable to accept nomination for the presidency. He desired to thank the executive and all members of the Union for the loyal support given during his 12 years of office, and trusted that they would continue to do so in the future. Mr T. O. Haycock regretted losing the services of Mr Morrison for the term. He had been a tower of strength to the Union and of invaluable assistance to all farmers. On behalf of the executive he wished Mr Morrison a pleasant trip and hoped to see him scon back in office again. Mr H. W. Kempton, on behalf of the dairy farmers, said Air Morrison had been the best friend of the dairy fanner for some years. They were extremely grateful for what he had done on their behalf, and they hoped that he would enjoy to the fullest his wellearned holiday.
