WINTER SPORTS CLUB.
SINGLES TOURNAMENT. The executive met last evening and considerable business was transacted, the main portion being the allocation of trophies. The suggestions drawn up will be placed before the general committee for approval at the next meeting. The following handicaps have been declared for the singles tournament, commencing to-morrow night, and extending over two Saturdays:—Turner 20 behind, Vesty 10 behind, Wilson 8 behind, Whitburn 7 behind, Joy, Thompson, Winslade 5 behind, Person, Oxenham 3 behind, Mrs Vesty, McArtney scratch, Allan 3 on, Misses E. Clarke and Evans 5 on, Mills, Edwards, Wilton, Miss F. Selby 8 on, Dryden, Misses K. Clarke, N. Selby, Mrs McArtney 10 on, Chamberlain, Mesdamcs Wilton and Edwards 12 on, Mesdamcs Mills and Chamberlain 15 -on. The tournament will be played in tw o sections, the draw to be in readiness on Saturday evening.
