A. & P. ASSOCIATION.
MONTHLY MEE ’ ING. The monthly meeting of the general committee of the Mastert-.m A. and P Association was held yesterday. There were present Messrs J. M. James (pr°sident), G. H. Perry, I. Percy, D Ogilvy, G. C. iSumiuerell, D. Smith, AV. H. Buick, P. M. Compton, W. F. Me-' Laren, W. Kemp, H. M. Douglas, AV. Perry, G. R. McKellar, L. R. Wilton, J. AV. Colquhoun, A. McKay, AV. A'. Buick, N. G. Rayner, H. J. Wardell, H. Evans, C. M. Perry, and B. Welch. The officers of the Association were appointed a sub-committce to frame remits for the agricultural conference, to be submitted to the meeting in April. Mr J. de la Haye (Woodville) wrote requesting that as his bull was first and champion for Milking Shorthorns he should be given full prize money in class 116 (in -which there w'ere only two entries). —After discussion it was decided that there could be no departure from the schedule as it would mean altering the rules.
The Masterton Racing Club was granted the use of cutlery and cooking utensils for the race meeting at Opak., The Rev. Mother Joseph wrote asking for a subscription to St. Bride’s bazaar in consideration of the use nF tic supper room for the smoke concert.
—Mr G. H. Perry said it was through the courtesy of Mother Joseph that they had the use of the room. He moved that a donation of £1 Is be given.—Carried. On the recommendation of the Finance Committee it was decided to write thanking Dustin’s, Ltd., for tlrn satisfactory manner in which they carried out the luncheon. THE GROUND COMMITTEE.
Mr P. M. Compton moved, on behalf of the Ground Committee, that the Association should again graze its green feed paddocks as in previous years, and that Mr W. Cooper be asked to take charge of the buying and selling; that the grounds be let for £lO to the Anglican Bible Class Un ion for its annual conference (Dec. 26 to Jan. 5), at which it was expected that 200 delegates would be present; that Mr R. F. R. Beetham and Mr James McGregor, senr., be thanked for the free use of paddocks at show time, and Mr C. Todd for the offer of a paddock.— Mr Compton thanked the committee for the splendid assistance it had given him. On the motion of Mr D. Smith a vote of thanks was accorded to the police for their services at the show.
