A BOXING MATCH
ENDS IN FIASCO. Auckland, March 12.—A boxing match between Bill Scroggins, of New South Wales, and Les Murray, lightweight champion of New Zealand, for a purse of £175, ended in a fiasco. The bout was announced as 15 threeminute rounds, but in the second round Scroggins went down, complaining of being butted in the abdomen. He rose at the gong and went into his corner. Half-way through the third round Scroggins went down again and was disqualified, Murray gaining the verdict. —(P.A.)
