SLIGHT RISE IN HALFBREDS. RAMS’ WOOL REALISES 2s 6d. Dunedin, March 9.—-The third wool sale of the season opened here to-day, when 21,334 bales were submitted, 85 per cent., being sold. Competition was keen, especially for halfbreds, threequarterbreds, and fine crossbreds. Compared with the last gale, prices wete: Merino 10 to 15 per cent, lower, super halfbreds par to 5 per cent, higher, medium to low halfbreds 5 to 10 per cent., fine crossbreds 5 to 10 per cent, lower, coarser 7+ to 12J per cent, lower, pieces and bellies par to 5 per cent. Ohc bale of super merino shorn from rams imported from Victoria brought 30d per lb.—(P.A.)
