HOSPITAL BOARD.

The monthly meeting of the oom- | mittee was held on Monday. The ' members present were Messvs W. I Fisher (in the chair), T. V. Moore and H. H. Mauley. The chairman of the Board, Mr E. G. Eton, was also I present ex officio. Apologies were received from Messrs 8. Bolton, J. IC. Ewington, A. O. Considine and M . B. Matheson. The treasurer’s statement for the 1 month of February revealed credit , balances on general account £6lO 17s Id and bequest account £135 Ils 4d. The following items are included in i the receipts:—Levies from local contributory bodies £2854 18s 2d; patients’ fees, Masterton hospital £l5O 3s 6d, Greytown hospital £5l ss, I Pahmtua hospital £2 5 S Bd, Solway : Home £27, Eketahuna District Nurse £lO 3s. Accounts totalling , £2308 19s Id were passed for payment. The following is a return of patients for the month of February:— Master ton hospital—Admissions ' 42, discharges 40, deaths 0, remaining at end of month 48; Greytown hospital 13, 17, 1, 11; Pahiatua, 14, 14, 1* There are at preseiit 24 inmates domiciled in the Buchanan Home, and 14 in the Renall-Solwav Home decided to meet at the Pahiatua hospital to-day for the purpose of framing the estimates for the ensuing year. and at Greytown nk Masterton hospitals on Thursday and Friday for a similar purpose.
