EXTENSION OF “PROMPT.”

FOR FEBRUARY WOOL SALE. Wellington, March 13.—1 n connection with the Wellington wool sale on February 17, it has been found necessary to grant the maximum extension of “prompt,” owing to shipping facilities not being available. The extension terminates on March 17 (St. Patrick’s Day), and this being a bank holiday, the actual “prompt” will be on Saturday, March 18. The next wool sale at Wellington has been definitely set down for April 5, and the catalogues will close on Friday, March 31. It is anticipated that from 10,000 to 15,000 bales will be catalogued. This will be the clean-ing-up sale for Wellington.—(P.A.)
