WAIRARAPA STUD RAM AND EWE SALE. The above sale was held at Solway yesterday, when a catalogue of 65 Romney ewes, 141. Romney rams, 31 Lincoln ranis, and 4 Southdown rams was submitted. There was a good attendance of interested spectators, but very fe\V buyers, with the result that the bulk of the offering was. passed through the ring without obtaining a bid. Only selected rams of best quality were competed for at prices considerably below those obtained last year. Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., and Wright, Stephenson and Co., Ltd., report on their Johnsonville fat stock sale held on Wednesday:— A full yarding of all ciassets of stock met with a keen demand, prices being slightly lower than last week’s quotations, although the quality of the stock yarded was somewhat inferior to last week.
