THE ‘‘SHOP DAY” RESULTS. The Children’s Home ‘‘Shop Day” yesterday proved a great success. Large quantities of all sorts of saleable goods were freely sent in by residents of the town and country and met with ready sale. The committee is much indebted to the ladies who undertook the management. Misses Daniell and Elliot were -n charge of the produce, Mrs Jas. Elliott, Mrs A. Hosking, and Miss Katie Morrison the flowers, Mrs A. H. Daniell and 1W rs B. Page eakes and sweets, and Mr Mason did good business in collecting and selling a varied assortment of Others assisting were Miss B. McKenzie, Miss J. M. Janies, and Mrs Madden. The Christmas cake donated by Mrs C. J. Bennett realised £2. The total takings, including some cash donations, amounted to £46 0s sd.
