A message from London states that I’rincess Mary will probably visit Viscount Lascelles’ Irish seal at I'ortumna, Galway,, which was recent, ly burned and is being restored. The friends of Mrs. A. McLeod, of Cole Street, an old resident of Masterton, will learn with regret that her health is very unsatisfactory and is i causing anxiety. I Mr. and Mrs A. K. Dyne, who arc : shortly leaving Eketahuna for , Featherston, were entertained by the j townspeople, when about forty- were present. There were several dances ' interspersed with a number of musical items and social chat. During an 1 interval the Mayor, Mr. P. Fike, presented Mr. Dyne with a substantial cheque on behalf of his many friends. I The local railway staff arranged a little informal gathering at the station | to bid farewell to their much-respect-ed stationmaster. Mr. Boy-lc, on be half of the staff, handed Mr. Dyne a gold-mounted fountain pen and pencil and a shaving set. The staff presented Mrs. Dyne with a salad bow) and servers.
