HOSPITAL BOARD.

CENTRAL COMMITTEE MEETING, The monlhly meeting of (he 'Central Cmmilleo of Ihe Wairarapa Hospital and Charitable Aid .Board was held in Masterton on Monday. Mr. W. Fisher was in the chair, and there were also present Messrs S. Bolton, T. V, Moore, .1. C. Ewinglon, and E. G-. Eton. The treasurer announced Ihe following credit balances:—General account £."nj22 10s 2d, loan account £JOD 2s lid, bequest account. £132 9s. A communication was received from the Wellington agents notifying a further increase in the price of Tan piri coal. The following lenders were accepted for (he Masterton hospital during the coming year: —Meal, Hilton and Co.; broad, Mr. E. Anstice; drugs, Mr. H. T. Wood; carl age. Fly and Young: funerals, Hoar and Permain. The secretary intimated wilh reference lolhe Public Health Amendment Act that from January .1 all health inspectors at present working undei Hie jurisdiction of the Hospital Boards would come under the direct control of the Health Department. This meant, that in the Wairarapa Messrs J. Caimn (Masterton) and G. Russell (Greytown) would sever their connect ion with the Hospital Board in a fewweeks 'lime, and will work under thr direel supervision of the Department.
