CRICKET.
THE COLTS MATCH. (By Electric Telegraph.— Copyright.) (Australian-N.Z. Cable Association.) (Received Last Night, 10.15 o'clock. SYDNEY, Dec. 14. The cricket match, New South Wales colts against- the Englishmen commenced on No. 2 ground on a soft and tricky wicket, favouring the bowlers. Douglas won the toss, and sent tho Colts in, the bowlers using sawdust to keep their footing. The Colts' first innings only produced 81, Waddington taking eight wickets for 23. In the first innings England has two wickets down for -122 —Hobbs 64, Hendren not out 203, Hearne not out 125. When the Englishmen batted the wicket had greatly improved. Hot weather, with driving winds, has now set in. It is expected that the test wicket will be in first class condition for Friday.
