A stick of gelignite was detonated against the one-roomed hut occupied hy Constable McKay, at Arthur's Pass, on Thursday night. The constable was absent at the time at Darfield. The door of the hut was blown in and the walls slightly damaged. No reason is advances! for the outrage.
