Webb, of Aratapu, who arrived in New Zealand in 18(53 by the ship Gertrude, Mr Fred. G. Corson, of MasLerton, received the sad intelligence last evening of the death of his brother, Mr W. J. Carson, from pneumonia. The deceased, who was the eldest son of the Hon. Gilbert Carson, was fortynine years of age, He was secretary of the Wanganui Girls' College. He leaves a widow and three children. Mr F G. Carson leaves Masterton for Wanganui this morning, to be present at the funeral.
