| NEGOTIATIONS CONTINUED. PRICE OF GOLD DISCUSSED. (By Electric Telegraphs-Copyright.) (Australian-N.Z. Cable Association.) Received Last Night, 5.5 o'clock. LONDON, Dec. 10. Sir Robert Horn and M. Krassin have continued the negotiations, which are believed to be progressing, but there is a difference regarding the price of gold sent to England, Russia claiming the market price, but it is pointed out that tho Bank of England recently paid the, statutory price for a Continental shipment. Protests have' been made against treating Russia preferentially. • w V. ■>• . ' WAINGAWA FREEZING WORKS. SUSPENSION OF OPERATIONS. Operations at the Waingawa, freezing works have been almost completely suspended, a staff of nearly two hundred men having been paid ofF on Saturday morning last. It is not anticipated that work will bo resumed until after the New Year, and even then only those employed at absolutely essential work will be re-en-gaged. The loss in spending power in Master ton will be at least £IOOO per week.
