TO-DAY'S WEATHER

The Rev. D. C. Bates wired last night: —Very warm and humid conditions have prevailed, and stormy weather, north of Auckland. Rain lias fallen, also, in southernmost districts. Heavy rain was reported this afternoon on the west coast of the South Island. Winds have been variable, strong east to north predominating. Present indications are for high northerly winds, backing by west to south. Expect dull and misty weather, with rain in most parts of the Dominion. Barometer falling everywhere, but a rise is due in the south after about two hours, and a cold snap i 3 likely to follow.
