Mr. O. P. Pedorson, an old and 'respected resident of Shannon, passed away on Sunday last. The marriage of Miss Freda Redman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. F. Bedman, of Masterton, to Mr. Frank Hodge, formerly of Masterton, frill take place at the Congregational Church, Masterton, on January 7. Tho death occurred at Eketahuna yesterday of Mr. B. M. Small, a wellknown and highly respected settler of that district. Tho deceased, who succumbed to pleurisy and pneumonia, had only boon ailing for about a week. He leaves a widow, one son, Mr. Chas. Small (dentist), Palmerston North, and one daughter. Mr. W. G. Shepherd, manager of the Drapery Department of tho Wairarapa Farmers' Co-operative Association in Eketahuna, has purchased a business in Napier, for which place he expects to leave in February. During his reui* dence in Eketahuna, Mr. Shepherd has taken a great interest in various semipublic matters, and has been a keen worker. His departure will be a di«* tinct loss to the town. Tho death took place in Masterton yesterday of an old and respected settler in the person of Mrs. Jane Collins Graham. The late Mrs. Graham, came to Masterton with her husband, ' who predeceased her some eleven yeara ago, in the year 1884, and in her younger days was well known for her work among the sick and poor. The deceased lady attained the rip© old age of eighty years, having been bora in Perth, Scotland, in 1819. Mrs. Graham had been a semi-invalid tot years past, and had been permanently confined to her bed for the last si? months. The deceased lady is survived by three daughters and two sons— Mesdames Bryan-Badger, Chmtchurch, Evenden and Kussell, Masterton, Messrs J. D. Graham; Te Kuiti, and C. S. Graham, Masterton. The funeral takes place at 1 o'clock tomorrow.
