"THE SQUATTERS."

(To the Editor.)

Sir, —You seem to have missed the I point in regard to Sir Waiter Bu- i chanan's reference to the "Squat- ] ters." Ho does not like the name, because it implies the squatting of ' } a certain number of people on the , land, to the exclusion of the soldiers and others. The squatters want J to be classed as worthy landowners, who are doing, nothing to impede the progress of the Dominion. The Qther extremists, the "Red Feds," also try to conceal their extremism by calling themselves official Labourites. They are no more true Labourites than the squatters are useful The discriminating public can sift the grain from the chaff. It kno\vs the "jSquatters" and the "Red Feds'' for what they are, and not for what they pretend! to be.—l am, etc.,MODERATE.
