THE MAYOR'S TELEGRAM.

His Worship tho Mayor (Mr. W. H. Jackson J on Saturday telegraphed as follows to Dr. Anderson, Director of Education:—

Building and hostel accommodation will require £30,000. Cabinet's vote is the only .vital matter."

Up till last night, no reply had been received from the Director of Education, and it is not certain whether the Minister will consider it necessary to visit Mastcrton, as proposed, on Wednesday next, since the questions of type of institution and site have been determined by a representative meeting.
