A Government survey party left on Thursday for Messrs Kiddiford Bros.' Te Awaite property, which is to be thrown open for soldier settlement. Mr. Hutton, civil engineer, of Greytown, was in Martinborough yesterday making a survey of the four acres recently acquired in connection with the Considinc Park.
A petition has been in circulation in Martinborough, which is to be forwarded to Sir Joseph Ward ,asking him to address a meeting in the district before the election.
