RICCARTON TRAINING NOTES. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, Last Night. The weather was fine during training operations at Riucarton this morning The outside trial grass was used for the fast work, and a lot of sprinting was done. Battle Array and Riaingh&m went four furlongs in 52 4-5 sec. Potentiality beat Pretty Bobby over six furlongs in lmin 23 2-sßee. Sonnino went four furlongs in 54 l-ssecc. All Over and Form Up galloped five furlongs in lmin 7 1-5 sec. Bon Reve did a round at halfpace, followed by a second round faster. The last mile took lmin 55 8-ssec. Sir Solo did a working gallop once "round. Master Lupin, Waimai, and Signature left six furlongs behind in lmin 27sec. Gold Kip easily beat Sir Agnes oyer half a mile. Kilboyne went five fnrlongs. Gang Awa' and Master Strowan did a working gallop, the last half-mile taking 50sec. feamiel galloped four furlongs in 54sec, Cerberus took 61 4-ssec over the same distance. Lochella went seven in lmin 44see. Vascular and Omahu did useful pacing on the sand. Morecombe, Rewi Poto, and Multive dfd half to three-quarter pace work, and others easier tasks. Coalition, who waa showing signß of Inmeness, was not worked.

Private telegraphic advice has been received from the South stating that Coalition is an unlikely starter in the Grand National Steeplechase. This is bad luck for Messrs V. and E. Riddiford, as the horse had been going well up till the eve of the race.
