POSITION IN IRELAND.
Tlio po-ition in sonic parts of Ireland is apparently causing grave anxiety to the British Cabinet. Although, very little information has reached us through the cables of late, advices by uiaii indicate that the Sinn|«\»in element in the south has become very aggressive, and is making strenuous efforts to incite another . .on. The difficulty the Sinn Keiiiors have to face, however, is that of arms and ammunition. They are hoping, no doubt, to receive assistance from Germany, but there is not even a remote chance of their hopes in this direction being realised. Ibis fortunate, also, that the movementin favour of establishing a. separate Republic is not. general in Ireland. We have the assurance of Mr Bon at* Law that the Government intends taking measures to strengthen tlie hands of the Irish executing.
