NUMEROUS LLTES PASSED IN. (By Telegranh—Press Association.) HASTINGS, Last Night. At the fii;st day of the Hawke's Bay ram fair there was a fairly large attendance. Heavy rain fell during tho afternoon, Prices did not rule as high as last year, and numerous lines wore passed in. Average prices were obtained for flock sheep. In Lincoln stud rams the best figure obtained was 95 guineas for a one-shear, bred by W. H. Gaisford, of Dannevirkot The Romney stud rams realised good prices, the highest figure being 210 guineas for a two-shear bred by Mr \V. Raynor, of Masterton, the purchaser being Mr J. O'Grady, of Gisborne. Last year's record price was a stud Lincoln at 20.5 guineas.
