GOD'S GREAT EE'EDS ACIvNOW- | LEDGED, AMSTERDAM, January 28. In acknowledging tho birthday greeting of tho Court preacher, the Kaiser telegraphed:—"Deep thank" fulness. I commemorate to-day God's groat deeds For the German people. He has given historical successes to our colours, has removed many sorrows anil has kept the Fatherland through distress and privations. I hope our church will help, after we havo victoriously finished tho war, to heal ths wounds, conciliate the controversies, tnd unite and strengthen our people in enthusiastic and unselfish devotion to the Fatherland. M y special sympathy is with tho great tasks set equally before tho Church and the Stato in the. reconstruction of fcimily life and the education of a Godfearing and healthy young generation worthy of their fathers."
