RACING OLU'B^.« The Pahiatua Racing Club will hold its annual meeting on January 31, and the programme advertised in this issue shows that the club is making steady, ~ progress along sound lines. The" Pahiatua Handicap, of 130 govs, one mile and a quarter, and the Telephone Handicap, of lOOsovs, six furlongs, form the principal attractions of the card, which also includes the Ballance Hack Handicap, of 80 sovs, one mile and a distance, Hack Flying Handicap, of 80 sovs, six furlongs, Makuri Hack Handicap, of 80 sovs, five furlongs, Welter Hack Handicap,of 80 sovs, seven furlongs, arid Maiden Hack Handicap, of 70 sovs, five furlongs. Nominations close on January 10th, handicaps will be declared on January 14th, and acceptances are due on January 21st.
