RECRUITING OF YOUTHS
VOLUNTARY ENLISTMENT.
The Defence Department has decided that, on and after Monday, September 17th, youth's who have attained their nineteenth .birthday 'will )>e permitted to voluntarily enlist in the Expeditionary Force, provided they produce a copy of their birth certificate, and the written consent of both their parents, or their legal guardian. The medical examination of these recruits must be conducted solely by a District Medical Board, and the attestation must bo carried out by a District Attesting Officer to a District Medical lU>ard.Jrnerc are said to be 8000 youths iqjjijCne Dominion of the ago of nineteen years.
