NEW ZEALAND FORECAST. The Rev. D. 0. Bates wired last nignt. : The atmospheric pressure has decreased everywhere, mild an-d humid conditions have ruled and rain has fallen in several parts of the country. Strong north-westerly winds have prevailed. Present indications are for unsettled, clouly and misty weather with heavy rain probable generally. Expect strong south-westerly winds northward of 'Eiast Cape and Kawhia; variable winds elsewhere, but strong north-westerlies to southwesterlies predominating. The barometer is unsteady with a rising tendency in the north.
