NEW ZEALAND FORECAST. The Rev. D. 0. Bates wired last niglit : The atmospheric pressure has decreased everywhere, and is now lowest on the .West Coast of the South Island. Moderate to strong northerly winds have ruled, but increased since Sunday, with a decided change in the weather conditions. Present indications are for. high north-westerly winds, changing to south and southeasterlies shortly. Expect dull, cold, and squally conditions, with rain probable generally and snow on higher levels in the south. Barometer rising everywhere soon.
