THE FARMER'S TRIP TO TOWN.

. A farmer who wimo to town to purchase a 1 torso gave the magistrate's Court, yesterday, an account of his experiences. Tho complainant stated that ho was the. manager ol Mr McKeJlar's farm at Ohariu. He came into town 011 Wednesday of last week, intending to 'buy a horse. Edwards followed, saw McTlrov jump on liis cart and drive, down the street, and went in pursuit until he lost sight .of him. On being questioned by Mr O'Leary, wjtnoss stated that he was quite sober wlion ho gave Mcllroy in charge—he had been drinking "light shandies." After further evidence had been heard.
