GERMAN ATTACKS REPULSED.

(Received July 12, 30 p.m.) PARIS, July 4. A communique states: The Germans in close formation la-st r.ight attacked our positions on the sunken road from Angres to'Ablain. Ihe enemy were dispersed 1 and - repulsed with heavy losses by our curtain of fire and machine guns. _ There was incessant gun and rifle fire all night from the Dinarvule Yienne-la-Chapelle road to Four de Paris, but only localised infantry actions. The Germans on La Ha ye front, after a. violent bombardment, attempted' to attack north of Regneville, but out* fire did not allow the enemy to debouch. One infantry battalion, before Say, reached our entanglements, but was forced to fall back.' A French attack by half a battalion was similarly unsuccessful.
