THE ARMENIAN.

GERMANY'S REAL ANSWER TO AMERICA. (Times and .Sydney Sun Services.) (Received Last Night. 5.5 o'clock.) LONDON, July 3rd. The ' ''Times" correspondent at Washington says the sinking of the Armenian, with the loss of American citizens, is mostly coloured. It is a sad blow to Washington, and seems to indicate that it- is Germany's real answer to President Wilson, rather than the reassuring platitudes that have emanated from Berlin. The (Government shows solicitude in the collection of comprehensive details. It must be remembered that the Armenian was carrying only contraband. It is certain Germany will adhere to this and will claim to attack such vessels. Germany, however, must remember that despite her peacefulness, America's patience is not inexhaustible.
