The race for tho Victorian Grand National Hurdles resulted as follows : Rathfarnham 9 (Martinez) ... ] Lord Grey 10.5 (Boyd) .... 2 Wingarara, 10.5 (Price) ... 3 All the acceptors started. Admiral "Grand fell at the first hurdle. Milk aba led for one and a half "miles from Wingarara, Rathfarnham, Jack Rice, The Vet, Flavel, and Oxbridge. At the last turn Wingarara ran to the front. Rathfarnham overhauled Wingarara when rounding the bend and led over the lust hurdle, winning easily by ten lengths. 'Time, iSmins 45£secs. —a record; Clontaft broke and will he unable to race again. Rathfarnham cost his owner 6% guineas in March last.
