TO BE SOLD AT MASTERTON. More valuable as an historical memento of the pi'esent time than any flag that has yet been sold for providing funds for our iwounded soldiers is an .autograph cook —anjdea of-Mrs Birss's, who is bringing the charming .operetta "The Rose of Joy" to /Masterton on Monday evening. The first signature in thebook is that of His Excellency the Governor, Lord Liverpool. Next is Lady Liverpool's' - •wlSTr' the following verse:— Go help thy fellows, give thy uest; Sunshine dispense, then look for rest. Why should ye wait for others'' care, ■Or more expect, less look to bear? ' Give, give before it grows too late: Chance passes by, time cannot -wait.
Then fallow the autographs of the Prime Minister, all the members Q? the House, the Speaker, and the members of the Press Gallery. This Autograph Book will be a unique historical document of the momentous year 1915, and it is to be ?old at Masterton for the benefit of tl'ft Wounded Soldiers' Fund.
