The Mayor of Pahiatua (Mr J. D. C. Crewe) and Mrs Crewe are spending a holiday in Auckland, Mr and Mrs Len Nimott, of Carterton, left for Auckland on Monday, ev> route for Botorua, where they intend spending a few weeks' holiday, Pipe-Major C. C. MacDoriald is * Eisifor, to Masterton. Mr MacDonaldf is competing in the Highland events, at tho Wairarapa Caledonian Society's sports on New Year's" Day. Mr W. H. Hannah, who has been connected ith tho Garerton Agricultural Department for a number of years, left yesterday ' morning Blenheim, where he has been trans-*: ferred. He will bo succeeded in Carterton by Mr Hubbard, brother of Mir A. T. P. Hubbard, of Llasterton. A quiet wedding was solemnised in the Methodist Church, Masterton, yesterday afternoon. The contract* ing parties were Mr William Robert? Tuck, of Auckland, and Miss UutTi | Burton, daughter of Mi" and Mrs B. Burton, of Masterton.
