, A MASTERTON RESOLUTION. , At a mee&ag of the Church' of ■■ Endland Men's Society, held in Has- - terton on Wednesday evening, the fol- - lowing resolution was \uianimoudy carried s—"This meeting, representing the St. Matthew's Masterton branch of the Church of England Men's Society, expresses tho convic- ■ tion that a sufficient number ot people of New Zealand have evidenced their desire ~for the Referendum rc- ' quested % the Bible-in-Stato Schools ■ League to justify the Government introducing the necessary measure, and resolves to support the League executive in any steps which may be taken to ensure the submission of the question to the whole of the people at the next general election. We express ! the opinion that .the time isnoAV ripe for an'immediate and final settlement of the lohg-eontinued dissatisfaction with the'exclusion of religious instruction from the national system of education.**''
