THSMPtON-PAYNE PICTURES.
THE MELBOURNE CUP.
Despite the wintry weather a large and enthusiastic audience was present at the T.P. Pictures last evening, when tiie current change again received a good reception.. "The Victorian Racing Carnival" and "The Melbourne Cuj>" was a most interesting and wonderfully clear film. The star drama, "THe Fatal Handkerchiof," is a superb TTem wliich deals with the kidnapping of a. famous actress. Several exciting scenes and. the clever detective work, conbined with superb acting make the picture a very fine feature subject. "The Judgment of the Deep" was a. fine eeastue ~iT>mance in which Miss Omii Hawley, of Tito Lubin Co., appeared at her best. "The Hidden Witness" was a popular Kalem production in wliich two little children were instrumental in bringing a jewel thief to account. A fine military episode was given in "The Mexican Revolution of '36," while "The Revolutionist'"'' wa» a clever yarn in which Mr R'omaine Fielding gave a good account of himself. Several other fine subjects included "Mini's Doll," "Shooting the Rapids of the Philippines," "Bob's New Auto/'' "Bloomer's Dream" and ) "Views of CertaMo."' This programme avTTI be shown tonight for the last time.

"THE TWO SPIES."
Rain, hail or sunshine, the attendance at the Town HalT Picture entertainments always approaches record figures. Last evening was no exception, and the big audience which braved the elements.to witness 'The Two Spies" programme Tented "then appreciation by continued applause. Not on|y did the big feature June a grand reception, but the minor items also came in for a due share of the commendation so freely meted out. That the programn-e; »s an excellent one requires no argument, and is in keeping with the high-class entertainment for which the Masterton Picture Company haa become rioted. In drama, comedy, scenic, educational and industrial, features the programme abounds, all .testes being catered for in a manner seldom equalled. To-night this unique programme will be screened for the last time, and those desirous of spending a. pleasant couple of hours will be well advised in paying a visit to the Town Hall. ' *
