DUTCH FAIR.

IN GYMNASIUM. HALL. The members of Knox Church, Masterton, opened a very successful Dutch Fair in the Y.M.C.A. Gymnasium Hall yesterday afternoon, the opening ceremony being performed by Mr Jas. McGregor, sen. The weather being beautifully fine the fair .was patronised by very large crowds both afternoon and evening. ; The stalls, which were numerous, were artistically and prettily arranged, Dutch bulbs figuring prominently in the decorations of the various tables, and gave the interior of the hall a picturesque appearance. The general effect wae enhanced by the artistic Dutch costumes worn by the attendants of the stalls, the entire scheme resulting in a very successful representation of a Fair in Holland The following were the stall-hold-ers :—Flower stall: Mrs H. T. Wood (supervisor), assisted by Misses J. McGregor, J. Miller and McKenzie. Produce stall: Miss G. Dagg, assisted by Miss Wingate. Sweet stall: ,Dr Helen Cowie, assisted by pupils of her Bible class. Plain work stall : Mrs George Ross,. assisted by Mrs Exell. Cake stall: Mrs Willoughby, assisted by Mrs Moore. Fancy stall: Mrs Pryor, assisted by Mesdames A. T. Thompson, J. Thompson, and Misses Cameron (2). Dutch windmill: Miss J. Hogg, assisted by Miss A. Shaw. Refreshments: Mrs Gibson, assisted by Mesdames Graham, Gib-: bons, and Deal, and Misses Nicol, Keene, Hood, E. Johnston, Shaw and Deal.
